Whistleblower Protection Policy

Introduction

Sports Insider Daily is committed to the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and transparency. To uphold these values, we encourage employees, freelancers, contractors, and partners to report concerns about misconduct, violations of company policies, unethical practices, or illegal activity — without fear of retaliation.

This policy ensures that individuals who raise concerns in good faith are protected, respected, and supported.

Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All Sports Insider Daily employees, contractors, freelancers, and interns.
  • Reports involving company operations, editorial integrity, workplace conduct, financial practices, or legal compliance.

What Can Be Reported

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Violations of company policies (e.g., harassment, discrimination, integrity breaches).
  • Unethical journalism practices (plagiarism, fabrication, conflicts of interest).
  • Financial misconduct, fraud, or mismanagement of resources.
  • Safety violations or illegal activity.
  • Retaliation against employees who report misconduct.

Reporting Channels

  • Reports may be submitted to HR, a direct supervisor, or the Ethics & Compliance Officer.
  • Anonymous reporting options will be available through a secure channel.
  • All concerns will be documented and reviewed promptly.

Our Commitments

  1. Confidentiality
    • Reports will be handled with discretion. Identities will be protected to the fullest extent possible.
  2. Non-Retaliation
    • Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith is strictly prohibited.
    • Retaliatory acts (termination, demotion, harassment, threats, etc.) will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
  3. Good Faith Reporting
    • Whistleblowers are protected as long as the report is made honestly, even if the concern is later found to be unsubstantiated.
    • Malicious or knowingly false reports, however, may lead to disciplinary action.
  4. Prompt Investigation
    • All credible concerns will be investigated fairly, thoroughly, and without bias.
    • Findings will be addressed and corrective measures implemented where necessary.
  5. Accountability & Transparency
    • Results of investigations may be shared with relevant stakeholders when appropriate.
    • Patterns of misconduct will be tracked to prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities

  • Employees/Contributors: Speak up when you see or suspect misconduct.
  • Supervisors/Managers: Support whistleblowers, protect against retaliation, and escalate concerns immediately.
  • Leadership: Ensure reports are taken seriously and investigated objectively.
