Louisville Stuns the Canes in Miami, Beck Struggles

Miami Gardens, FL – The Louisville Cardinals defeated the Miami Hurricanes by a score of 24-21 on October 17, 2025, at Hard Rock Stadium. Miami was undefeated and the No. 2 team in the country entering the matchup. Their 10-game home winning streak was also snapped by the Cardinals. 

Quarterback for Miami and Heisman candidate, Carson Beck, threw four interceptions in total. One Beck’s picks occurred on the final drive of the game with 32 seconds remaining, when Miami was already in field goal range, which would have tied the game. Along with Beck’s four interceptions, the Canes could not find success running the ball either, with only 63 rushing yards the entire game. Louisville did come into the game as the No. 1 defense in the ACC.

For Louisville, quarterback Miller Moss threw 23 of 37 passes for 248 yards, Isaac Brown ran for 113 yards on 15 carries, and Chris Bell had nine catches for 136 yards and two TDs. The Cane has now dropped to No. 9 in the country in the newly released AP Poll. The Cardinals went from unranked to No. 19. 

This upcoming Saturday, Miami will look to rebound as they host Stanford. Louisville will host Boston College.
