Adam Jones, who dedicated 11 of his 14 Major League Baseball seasons to the Baltimore Orioles (2008-2018), boasts an impressive career statistics profile after joining the team from the Seattle Mariners on February 8, 2008. He ranks among the all-time franchise leaders (dating back to 1954) in multiple categories: 4th in hits with an outstanding 1,781, 5th in home runs with 263, 5th in RBIs with 866, 5th in runs scored at 875, and 7th in doubles with 305. Jones also played in a noteworthy 1,613 games, ranking 8th in franchise history. His remarkable 93 career outfield assists tie him with NICK MARKAKIS for second all-time in franchise history, just behind PAUL BLAIR’s record of 105.

A celebrated five-time All-Star (2009, 2012-2015), Jones is recognized as one of only six players in Orioles franchise history to achieve All-Star status in at least five seasons, joining the ranks of legends like CAL RIPKEN, JR. (19 selections), BROOKS ROBINSON (15), EDDIE MURRAY (7), JIM PALMER (6), and MIKE MUSSINA (5). He has also received the prestigious Gold Glove Award four times (2009, 2012-2014) in recognition of his exceptional defensive skills in center field. Notably, his 2009 Gold Glove was the first awarded to a Baltimore outfielder since Blair’s win in 1975, and his 2013 Slugger Award marked the first recognition for an Orioles outfielder since the award’s inception in 1980.

Jones’s contributions extend beyond the field; he was a three-time nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award (2011, 2013, 2016), which honors a player who exemplifies character, community service, philanthropy, and contributions to the sport both on and off the field. During his illustrious career, he received six Heart and Hustle Award nominations (2012, 2014-2018) and garnered recognition as the Most Valuable Oriole three times (2011-2013). Jones officially announced his retirement from baseball as a Baltimore Oriole on September 15, 2023, and in January 2025, he returned to the organization as a Special Advisor to the General Manager and a Community Ambassador.

Joe Orsulak enjoyed a successful five-season tenure with the Orioles from 1988 to 1992, achieving a batting average of .281 over 2,059 plate appearances (579 hits). His performance included 97 doubles, 15 triples, and 35 home runs while competing in 632 games. In a standout 1991 season, Orsulak set a franchise record with 22 outfield assists, a feat that continues to resonate, with only Alfonso Soriano (Washington, 2006) and Richard Hidalgo (Houston, 2003) having matched this achievement since then. Currently, Orsulak’s 54 career outfield assists place him 7th in franchise history, following legends like Blair (105), and Jones/Markakis (93). He led the Orioles in batting average during the 1988, 1989, and 1992 seasons, also finishing second in 1991 behind CAL RIPKEN, JR.

Tom Davis, the recipient of the Herb Armstrong Award for non-uniformed Orioles personnel, has been a valuable voice for the organization for over thirty years as a fill-in radio and television play-by-play broadcaster. A five-time Maryland Sportscaster of the Year, Davis began his storied career at WBAL-TV and WCBM Radio, later transitioning to WQSR-FM where he was a prominent sportscaster. He also hosted pre-and post-game programming, including the popular “O’s Extra” shows on MASN. Davis continues his legacy through producing and hosting shows like “Wall to Wall Baseball” and “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” His contributions to sports broadcasting were recognized in 2019 when he received the John F. Steadman Lifetime Achievement Award from the Maryland State Athletic Hall of Fame.
