Tuskegee Golden Tigers Grab 68-55 Victory Against Morehouse Maroon Tigers At 2025 NBA HBCU Classic

On Saturday, during the highly anticipated 2025 NBA HBCU Classic held at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California, the Morehouse Maroon Tigers faced off against their Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) rival, the Tuskegee Golden Tigers. In a compelling showdown, Tuskegee showcased their skill and teamwork, ultimately clinching a decisive 68-55 victory.

For Morehouse, standout player Sincere Key led the team, contributing 15 points while shooting 40% from beyond the arc (4-10). He also grabbed six rebounds and made three pivotal steals, demonstrating his defensive skills. 

Amahn Decker added depth to the Maroon Tigers’ effort, finishing the game with ten points and nearly achieving a double-double with nine rebounds and two assists. 

JerMontae Hill and Cedric Taylor III both played crucial roles as well, with Hill scoring eight points, securing four rebounds, and blocking one shot, while Taylor III matched his points total and added five rebounds and four assists to the mix.

On the Tuskegee side, Kusama Draper was the standout performer, lighting up the scoreboard with 22 points, showcasing his scoring ability through a combination of precision shooting and aggressive drives to the basket. 

Kevin Sesberry made a significant contribution as well, netting 19 points and exhibiting formidable play, while D’Anthony Pennington rounded out the trio of top scorers for Tuskegee with 16 points, further bolstering the team’s offensive output.

With this victory, Tuskegee improved their overall record to 11-12 and advanced to 9-8 in SIAC conference play.
