Washington Wizards Fall To The Cleveland Cavaliers In 134-124 Loss

On Friday night at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, the Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Washington Wizards for the fourth and final time this season. With their 134-124 victory, the Cavaliers completed a dominant sweep of the season series, finishing 4-0 against the Wizards. This marks the second consecutive season in which Cleveland has swept Washington, highlighting their consistent advantage in this matchup.

Wizards guard Jordan Poole had a standout performance, finishing with a career-high 45 points. In addition to his scoring, he contributed five assists, four rebound. This achievement marks Poole’s fourth career game scoring over 40 points and his second this season. Notably, he has hit three or more three-pointers in 31 games this season, equaling his total from the entire 2023-24 campaign. He’s recorded five or more assists in six of his last nine games, signaling his evolving playmaking ability.

Bilal Coulibaly also had a solid outing, tallying 16 points on an efficient 6-for-12 shooting from the field, including 2-for-4 from beyond the arc. He added six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Coulibaly has now surpassed 10 points in 29 games this season, outpacing his rookie total of 27 games with double-digit scoring.

Richaun Holmes made his mark as well, recording his first double-double of the season. He achieved a season-high 12 points along with an impressive 12 rebounds, three assists, and a block.
