On Wednesday, the Baltimore Orioles traded catcher Blake Hunt to the Seattle Mariners. This transaction was completed in exchange for cash considerations, indicating the team’s focus on financial flexibility as they continue to build their roster.
The following day, the Orioles announced another significant roster change: they claimed infielder Jacob Amaya off waivers from the Chicago White Sox, and they designated right-handed pitcher Roansy Contreras for assignment.
On Friday, further roster developments unfolded as infielder Livan Soto successfully cleared outright waivers. As a result, he was assigned to Triple-A Norfolk.
