76ers vs. Trail Blazers
With a 125-103 win against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, the Philadelphia 76ers earned their fourth straight win and are still on the studs list.
Joel Embid put 37 points on the board tonight. He finished with three offensive rebounds, six defensive rebounds, and three assists.
Tyrese Maxey put 23 points on the board. He finished with one defensive rebound, three assists, and one steal.
Knicks vs. Wizards
At Capital One Arena in Washington, DC the Wizards hosted the Knicks. With Monday night’s 126-106 victory, the Knicks have won eight straight games, including Saturday night’s 136-132 win in overtime against the Wizards.
Karl-Anthony Towns put 32 points on the board tonight. He finished the night with five offensive rebounds, eight defensive rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
On the other side of the ball, Sarr and Brogdon combined added just 36 points to the board.
The Wizards were without a doubt duds tonight, while the Knicks were just absolute studs tonight and have been studs for their last eight contests. But with just an eight game win streak, it will be interesting to see just how long they can go streaking, especially with hosting the Utah Jazz on New Year’s Day at Madison Square Garden. The last time they met on November 23rd, Utah showed the Knicks the Jazz with a 121-106 win.
Bulls vs. Hornets
At the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Hornets hosted the visiting Chicago Bulls, and overtime, the Hornets lost this game 115-108.
I’m not gonna throw the Hornets under the bus and call them duds tonight. Their actually studs because they showed up and showed out. In all phases of the game, they performed pretty well. They finished the night with nine offensive rebounds, 47 defensive rebounds, 23 assists, eight steals, and six blocks. They had 15 fast break points, 56 points in the paint, and 11 second chance points.
Miles Bridges finished the night with 31 points. His stat line included one offensive rebound, 11 defensive rebounds, and eight assists.
Mark Williams also had a good game Monday night, but it was definitely not his greatest performance or close to being the best he could put out. But he finished with 20 points to be the second highest Hornets scorer of the night. His stat line was two offensive rebounds, ten defensive rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three blocks.
Curry and Green combined added 31 points, while Micic added seven points, and the bench added 19 points.
