The Knicks hosted the San Antonio Spurs for a Christmas day matinee gane at Madison Square Garden. Mikal Bridges led the Knicks in scoring with 41 points in their 117-114 victory. He finished the afternoon with one offensive rebound, four assists, two steals, and two blocks.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson combined added 41 points to the board. Towns finished with two offensive rebounds, seven defensive rebounds, and two assists, while Brunson finished with one offensive rebound, six defensive rebounds, nine assists, and one steal.
OG Anunoby and Josh Hart combined added 20 points to the board. Hart finished with five offensive rebounds, seven defensive rebounds, six assists, and two steals, while Anunoby finished with three offensive rebounds, two defensive rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
The Kniks had 15 bench points, 58 points in the paint, 19 second chance points, and 13 fast break points.
Nest up for the Knicks is a three-game road trip south of the Big Apple. On Friday night, the Knicks will head to the Kia Center for a matchup with the Orlando Magic. Saturday and Monday, the Knicks will head to Capital One Arena for two games against the Wizards.
The last time the Knicks and Magic met was December 15, and the Knicks defeated the Magic, 100-91. Karl-Anthony Towns led New York with 22 points, 22 rebounds, five assists, and one block. Jalen Brunson followed with 31 points, five assists, three rebounds, and one steal. Josh Hart rounded out the Knicks scoring with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, four steals, and one block.
