The New York Giants faced off against their NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX on Thursday afternoon. The two teams were meeting on Thanksgiving for the second time in the last three years.
After the Cowboys kicked a 23-yard field goal to take a 3-0 lead at the 9:43 mark in the first, the Giants scored the game’s first touchdown as Tyrone Tracy Jr scored from one yard out. They would hold a 7-3 lead at the end of the quarter.
Dallas would kick another field goal to close the gap to 7-6 in the second quarter. Just 14 seconds later, a Drew Lock pass was tipped and intercepted by DeMarvion Overshown and returned 23 yards for a touchdown to give the Cowboys a 13-7 lead.
The Giants would add a 46 yard field goal to make it a 13-10 game at halftime..
The Cowboys would take control in the third quarter, scoring 14 points to extend their lead to 27-10 headed into the fourth. The Giants would kick a field goal and score their second touchdown in the fourth to make it a 27-20 game, but Dallas was able to run the clock out and come away with the victory.
New York will head back home to face the New Orleans Saints next Sunday, Dec. 8. Kickoff from Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
