Devils Shut Out the Oilers, 3-0

The New Jersey Devils traveled to Alberta to face the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on Monday night. This is the final game of a three-game Western Canada road trip as they had a 6-0 shutout victory over the Canucks on Wednesday, and got shutout by the Calgary Flames on Friday. A day ago, the Oilers were in Calgary as they got their first winning record of the season as they have won 6 out of the last 10 games since starting 0-3, after the victory over the Flames 4-2 on Sunday. 

Jesper Bratt scored a power-play goal and an assist as he has had nine points in his last eight games, and he has 15 points overall in the season. Stefan Noesen and Timo Meier both scored their sixth goals of the season, as the Devils shut out the Oilers, 3-0. 

Jake Allen made 31 saves for the Devils for his second shutout of the season, and his 26th of his career, while Calvin Pickard made just 13 saves for the Oilers, in his lowest save number in a start this season. 

The Devils will head back to Jersey for one game to face the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday at 7 pm puck drop, before heading up to Uniondale to face the New York Islanders on Saturday. The Oilers will play their second straight game at home against the Vegas Golden Knights at 8:30 pm eastern on Wednesday.
