In Kingston Rhode Island at Meade Stadium, the University of Rhode Island Rams on Saturday hosted the Monmouth Hawks and won 37-28. The Rams improved to 7-1 overall with the win and improved to 5-0 at home this season. Providence native Marquis Buchanan finished with two receiving touchdowns. Buchanan, who caught 12 passes, became the first player for URI to catch ten passes in a game since Isaiah Colter caught 12 on October 5, 2019, against Brown. Tommy Smith registered his second receiving touchdown of the season, and Malik Grant recorded his sixth rushing touchdown of the season.
At Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, the Miami Hurricanes hosted Duke, and the Hurricanes came out on top with a 53-31 win Mark Fletcher Jr. and Elija Lofton both finished with a rushing touchdown, while Xavier Restrepo finished with three receiving touchdowns, and Jacolby George finished with one receiving touchdown. For Duke, Maalik Murphy finished with three passing touchdowns connecting with Sahmir Hagans, Jordan Moore, and Peyton Jones, who also rushed for a score.
At EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs met, and the Bulldogs took this game 34-20.
At Michie Stadium in West Point, New York, Army hosted Air Force and won 20-3. The Black Knights improved to 8-0 with the win.
Hampton hosted Villanova at Armstrong Stadium in Hampton, Virginia, and Villanova came out on top, 20-14. David Avit and Brendan Bell both rushed for a score for Villanova. On the other side of the ball, Kymari Gray finished with a receiving touchdown, and Chris Zellous rushed for a score.
