NBA Postgame – Celtics Beat Pistons, and Miami Brings The Heat to Charlotte

Saturday night the Celtics were on the road for a meeting with the Detroit Pistons, the Washington Wizards hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Charlotte Hornets hosted the Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic were on the road for a meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies. 

At the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, Miami Heat beat the Charlotte Hornets 114-106 with Jimmy Butler leading the Heat with 26 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Tyler Herro added 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Terry Rozier added 19 points, while Bam Adebayo added 10 points, and Nikola Jovic added ten points. For the Hornets, Lamelo Ball finished the night with 27 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. 

At Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, the Cleveland Cavaliers came out on top Saturday night with a 135-116 win against the Washington Wizards. Bilal Coulibaly led the Wizards with 23 points, six rebounds, and one assist. Kuzma and Poole combined added 28 points, while Sarr added 12 points, and Carrington, Kispert, and Valanciunas combined added 30 points. 

At Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Jayson Tatum led the Boston Celtics to their third straight win this week, beating the Pistons 124-118. Tatum finished the night with 36 points, four rebounds  and two assists. Brown added 24 points, while Horford and White each added 17 points, and Pritchard added 19 points. 

At FedExForum in Memphis, the Orlando Magic picked up their first lost of the season, losing 124-111 against Memphis. Franz Wagner led Orlando with 23 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
