Buffalo Bills Defeat New York Jets 23-20

The Buffalo Bills were in East Rutherford, NJ to face off against their AFC East rival in the New York Jets at Metlife Stadium on Monday night. Both teams were looking to snap two-game losing streaks.

After the Jets opened the game with a field goal, Buffalo scored the first touchdown of the game as Josh Allen scored from one yard out. New York would re-take the lead as Aaron Rodgers found Garrett Wilson on a five-yard touchdown pass. 10-7 would be the score after one quarter.

Buffalo re-took the lead with 6:54 left in the half as Allen found Mack Collins for an eight-yard touchdown. Allen would score his third total touchdown of the half, his second passing, as he found tight end Dawson Knox for a 12-yard score to make it a 20-10 game.

On the last play of the half, Rodgers successfully completed a 52-yard Hail Mary to Allen Lazard to make it a 20-17 game at halftime. A field goal from the Jets with 6:13 left in the third tied the game at 20.

They had a chance at taking the lead in the final minute of the third quarter, but a 32-yard field goal was missed just to the left. The game would remain tied at 20 headed into the fourth quarter.

A Tyler Bass field goal would give Buffalo a 23-20 lead with 3:43 left and an interception inside the two-minute warning sealed the victory for them giving them sole possession of first place in the AFC East.

The Bills will head back home to take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
