The New York Giants hosted the Cincinnati Bengals at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on Sunday night. The Giants were coming off a win in Seattle last Sunday.
It was the Bengals who scored first in this game as quarterback Joe Burrow ran 47 yards for a touchdown with 11:32 remaining in the first quarter. The Giants were driving when a Daniel Jones pass was intercepted by G Pratt at the Bengals’ three-yard line, abruptly ending the drive with 3:59 left in the first.
The Burrow rush touchdown would prove to be the lone score of the first half as Cincinnati held a 7-0 lead as both teams headed into the locker room.
The Giants would tie the game with 5:38 left in the third quarter as running back Tyrone Tracy Jr scored from one yard out. The Bengals would kick a 41-yard field goal and took a 10-7 lead into the fourth.
With 3:01 left, the Giants failed a 4th and 3, and on a 3rd and 12, Burrow found A Iosvias for a 29 yard gain. Chase Brown would score on a 30-yard run on the first play after the two-minute warning, and the Bengals would come out with 17-7 victory.
The Giants will host the Philadelphia Eagles at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, Nj Sunday as former Giants running back Saquan Barkley returns to face his former team. Kickoff for that game is scheduled 1 p.m. ET.
