Carolina Panthers Fall to 1-4 After 36-10 Loss to Chicago Bears

The Carolina Panthers were in Chicago to take on the Bears at Solider Field on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers were coming off a loss against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4.

Carolina scored the first touchdown as Chubba Hubbard scored a 38-yarder with 8:54 remaining in the first quarter. Chicago would tie the game at 7 as 2024 first overall pick, quarterback Caleb Williams found DJ Moore for a 34-yard score at the 5:44 mark of the first quarter. The score would remain tied heading into the second quarter.

Roschon Johnson gave the Bears a 14-7 lead on a one-yard score with 10:44 left in the half. Williams and Moore connected for a second time and the Bears opened up a 27-7 lead by the end of the first half.

After a one-yard touchdown run by Williams was nullified by penalty, the Bears kicked a field goal to extend their lead to 30-7 with 6:25 left in the third. Carolina would kick a field goal to make it a 30-10 game, but the Bears would score again with under five minutes left and ran away with a 36-10 win.

The Panthers fall to 1-4 after the loss and will look to get their second win as they take on the Atlanta Falcons in Charlotte. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
