The New York Giants hosted their NFC East rival in the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on Thursday night. The Giants were coming off a 21-15 win over the Cleveland Browns, their first of 2024.

After the Giants kicked a field goal to take a 3-0 lead, Dallas scored the game’s first touchdown as Dak Prescott threw a 15-yard pass to Rico Dowdle with 2:06 left in the first quarter.

Greg Joseph kicked a 41-yard field goal to close the game to 7-6 with 11:11 left in the half before Dak threw his second touchdown of the night, a 55-yarder to CeeDee Lamb, to make the score 14-6 with 9:16 left in the half. Joseph would add his third field goal, and the Cowboys held a 14-9 lead at halftime.
The two teams exchanged field goals in the third quarter, including a 60-yarder from Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, and they held a 17-12 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

With a chance to make it an eight-point game with 1:10 left, Aubrey missed a 51-yard field goal and the Giants got the ball at their own 41 with no timeouts. On the second-to-last play, a Daniel Jones pass was intercepted by Amani Oruwariye, and Dallas came away with the 20-15 victory.

The Giants will head out on the road to take on the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
