Who needs Touchdowns when you can hit 7 field goals and still win? Clearly the Washington Commanders who had Austin Seibert hit 7 field goals including a game winning field goal as time expired.
While the Commanders found success in the kicking game the Giants had troubles as Graham Gano was injured on the opening kickoff leaving the Giants without a kicker for the entire game and not converting on a two point conversion in each of their three touchdown trips.
Despite not finding the endzone, rookie Jayden Daniels would have a great game passing throwing for 226 yards completing 23 of his 29 attempts. Daniels also added 44 rushing yards on the ground.
Daniels, who was drafted from LSU, would find his former teammate and fellow first round pick Malik Nabers on the opposite side of him. Nabers had 10 catches for 127 yards and a receiving touchdown which led all receivers.
The leading rusher in the game would be Brian Robinson Jr who finished the game with 133 rushing yards off of 17 attempts. The Commanders improved to 1-1 and will look to improve to 2-1 when they travel to Cincinnati for Monday Night Football.
