Army Improves to 2-0 With 24-7 Win Over Florida Atlantic

The Army Black Knights were on the road for the first time in 2024 as they took on Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, FL on Saturday afternoon. Army was coming off a blowout victory over Lehigh in their season opener.

Kayne Udoh got the Black Knights on the board first with an eight-yard touchdown run. A 44 yard touchdown pass from Bryson Daily to Casey Reynolds in the final minute made it a 14-0 game after the first quarter.

FAU were able to cut the lead in half in the final minute of the second quarter as Cam Fancher found Omari Hayes for an eight-yard score. Army still led 14-7 at halftime.

The lone score of the third quarter was a 35-yard field goal to extend Army’s lead to 17-7 after three. A 23-yard touchdown run by M Rhodes extended the lead once again, this time to 24-7 just a minute into the fourth quarter. The Owls got to the Army one yard line, but turned the ball over on downs and the Black Knights held on for the 24-7 victory.

Army will be off next week and will return for their second home game of 2024 as they host Rice on Sept. 21. Kickoff is set for noon ET.
