The Army Black Knights football team hosted Lehigh in their first game of 2024 in West Point, NY on Friday. Both teams were looking to start their season with a victory.
Bryson Daily got Army on the board first in this game with a one-yard touchdown run at the 5:57 mark in the first quarter. Lehigh would tie it as Luke Yoder scored on an 18-yard run with just three seconds left.
Daily would rush for his second touchdown of the half to give Army a 14-7 lead with 10:21 in the half. A third rushing touchdown for Army, this one coming from Kayne Udoh, extended the Army lead to 21-7 at halftime.
Noah Short would score the lone touchdown of the third to make it a 28-7 game, and two more rushing touchdowns in the fourth made the final score 42-7 in the end. Bailey finished 3 of 6 passing for just 35 yards.
Army will be on the road next week as they will face Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET.
