The Baltimore Ravens began their preseason at home taking on the Philadelphia Eagles. Baltimore was without most of their star players opting to rest like reigning MVP Lamar Jackson, Former Offensive Player of the Year Derrick Henry, and last year rookie standout Zay Flowers.

Filling in for the Ravens stars Josh Johnson was at quarterback going 4/12 throwing for 62 yards. Owen Wright had the most rushing yards for Baltimore with 33 yards. Devin Leary, who got some reps in at quarterback, scored the Ravens only touchdown with a one yard rush.

Justin Tucker contributed two field goals before Leary’s one yard touchdown.

For the Philadelphia Eagles Will Shipley caught a seven yard pass from Kenny Pickett and Lew Nichols had a two yard rushing touchdown.

Jake Elliott missed his PAT attempt on the Pickett passing touchdown before converting on Nichols rushing touchdown.

The game was tied 13-13 in the fourth quarter with Philadelphia having the ball late in the preseason opener for both teams.

The Eagles drove down the field and didn’t convert on a field goal. The Ravens then got the ball and then fumbled, giving Philadelphia the ball back.

Jake Elliott then went on to hit a game winning field goal to leave Baltimore with a 16-13 win.

The Eagles will travel to New England to play on Thursday night for week two of preseason.

Baltimore next Saturday will face the Atlanta Falcons in Baltimore once again.
