At American Family Field in Milwaukee, WI Wednesday night, the Atlanta Braves wrapped up their three-game set with a 6-2 win against the Brewers.
Chris Sale made his 20th start of the season and third of his career against Milwaukee, going 5.2 innings and throwing 100 pitches with 68 being strikes. Sale two runs in six hits, walked three, and struck out six.
The Brewers earned their two runs with Jackson Chourio and Rhys Hoskins in the bottom of the first.
Top of the fourth Atlanta got into this game with back-to-back homers from Matt Olson and Travis d’Arnaud to make it a 2-2 tie game. Top of the seventh Atlanta extended their lead 4-2 with Jarred Kelenic and Whit Merrifield scoring. Top of the eighth, Atlanta extended their lead to 6-2 with back-to-back homers again by Matt Olson and Travis d’Arnaud.
Up next for Atlanta is a trip back home to Truist Park for a seven-game homestand starting Thursday with four games against the Miami Marlins.
