The Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays faced off at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, ON on Tuesday night. The Rays were coming off splitting a four-game series against the New York Yankees while the Blue Jays dropped two of three during their weekend series against the Detroit Tigers.
Tampa got on the board first in the top of the second as Arozarena scored on a single from J Lowe. They extended their lead to 3-0 as B Lowe hit a two-run homer to right field in the top of the fifth.
Two homers by Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Turner in the bottom of the sixth closed the gap to 3-2. Tampa grew their lead back to 4-2 on an RBI groundout in the seventh.
The Rays would hold on to win by that same final score of 4-2 win. The two AL Est teams will meet again tonight at 7:07 p.m. ET.
