Tampa Bay Rays Roster Moves As They Kickoff Toughest Remaining Schedule In The Majors

By Tiffany Williams –

On Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Rays made some roster moves by recalling left-handed pitcher Tyler Alexander from Triple-A Durham and sending right-handed pitcher Tyler Zuber to Durham. In addition, the Rays claimed right-handed pitcher Joel Kuhnel off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers.

Following the All-Star break, the Rays commenced a seven-game road trip, starting with a series against the Yankees and then the Blue Jays. In the series against the Yankees, the Rays managed to split the four-game series at Yankee Stadium with a 2-2 record.

Looking ahead, the Rays are set to begin a three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays. It’s worth noting that Tampa Bay faces one of the toughest remaining schedules in the majors, with a combined opponent winning percentage of .523. This places them second only to Cleveland, who have a .525 opponent winning percentage.
