Chicago Cubs Grab 9-2 Victory Against Baltimore Orioles

On Tuesday night, the Baltimore Orioles kicked off a six-game homestand with the first of a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs. Following this series, they will host the New York Yankees from Friday through Sunday before heading into the All-Star break.

The game on Tuesday ended with the Cubs claiming a 9-2 victory. The Orioles managed to score their first run during the bottom of the second inning when Jordan Westburg hit his 15th home run of the season. Their second run came in the bottom of the third inning with Gunnar Henderson crossing the plate.

Dean Kremer, making his eleventh start of the season, encountered the Cubs for the second time in his career. Throughout his four innings on the mound, Kremer threw 85 pitches, with 53 of them being strikes. He allowed seven hits, seven runs, and walked three batters.

The Orioles and the Cubs are gearing up for their second game, which is scheduled for tomorrow night at 6:35 PM. Corbin Burnes, who has earned his fourth career All-Star team selection and his first in the AL, is set to make his 19th start of the season and his 11th start against the Cubs.
