Wizards Lose Sixth Straight 123-108 To Utah Jazz

Washington played their final home game of a four game homestand. The Wizards lost their sixth straight game dating back to January 15th. Washington had a new coach in town with interim head coach Brian Keefe making his debut tonight.

The interim coach started his coaching season at 0-1 after Utah picked up the win. Lauri Markkanen had a game high 29 points. Markkanen added seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals to go along with his 29 points.

John Colling also helped propel the Jazz into the win column contributing 22 points and 16 rebounds. Jordan Clarkson and Kelly Olynk both finished the night with 19 points. Clarkson ventured near double-double territory with eight assists.

For Washington Kyle Kuzma ended his night with 26 points. Jordan Poole also had 18, Poole and Kuzma said this gave them a combined score of 44 between the two.

Washington got some bench help from Marvin Bagley who scored 14 points. Two of Wizards starters Dani Avdija and Daniel Gafford each had 13 points. Tyus Jones the Washington point guard scored 12 points while also ending his night with 14 assists.

The Wizards go back on the road Saturday to take on the Detroit Pistons with tip-off scheduled for 12:00PM EST.
