Georgetown Basketball Drops Fourth Consecutive Game in 90-66 Loss to Butler

Georgetown hosted Butler at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC on Tuesday night. The Hoyas were looking to snap a three-game losing streak.

It was a closely-contested game through the first 12 minutes as the Hoyas and Bulldogs were tied at 23 with 8:02 left in the first half. Butler would take over the rest of the way, going on a 12-0 run to take a 35-23 lead with 5:19 remaining. They would lead by as much as 15 in the first and led 44-32 at halftime.

Butler continued their dominant performance in the second half, going on a 13-0 run to build a 75-51 with 7:57 left in the game. Georgetown had no answer for the Bulldogs, who went on to win by a final score of 90-66.

Butler’s Pierre Brooks led the game with 20 points, shooting 8 of 15 from the floor. He also led the Bulldogs with 11 rebounds , giving him a double-double for the game. Jaylen Epps led Georgetown with 16 points while Supreme Cook led them with 12 rebounds.

Georgetown will look to snap what is now a four-game losing streak as they travel to take on Providence on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET.
