Wizards Lose Fourth Straight 113-104 To Nuggets

Halfway through their four game homestand Washington has lost both games in their homestand so far along with losing their last four games. The Wizards fell to the Denver Nuggets 113-104.

Nikola Jokic led Denver in points, rebounds, and assists. The previous year’s Finals MVP scored 42 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and dished out eighth assists. Teammates Michael Porter Jr and Jamal Murray each scored 19 to contribute to the win.

For the Wizards Kyle Kuzma had a team high 17 points and also had seven assists and six rebounds. Washington saw the return of center Daniel Gafford in this game, Gafford in his return to action finished the night with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Teammate Tyus Jones said postgame “It’s good to have Gaff back, his presence in the paint is huge for us.” Jones himself also ended with 15 points while also having a game high 13 assists.

Washington now holds a record of 7-35 which leaves them ahead of only the Detroit Pistons in the win column. The Wizards can add to that win column on Wednesday when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves for game three of their four game homestand. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00PM EST.
