Atlanta Hawks Tuesday night wrapped up their five-game homestand at State Farm Arena grabbing a 106-104 win against Orlando Magic. Tuesday night’s game was the third of four meetings between Atlanta and Orlando this season and the Magic’s first trip to State Farm Arena of the season.
Tonight’s win is Atlanta’s sixth against Orlando in their last seven meetings at State Farm Arena. In those last seven games, Atlanta has outscored Orlando by an average of 9.2 points.
Dejounte Murray netted the game-winning, buzzer-beating shot in tonight’s contest, his first buzzer-beating bucket of his career, finishing with a game-high tying 26 points on 11-18 from the field, adding five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes. It marked Murray’s second game-winning shot against Orlando this season.
Trae Young finished the night with his 26th point/assist double-double on the year, tied for the most such games in the NBA this season, tallying 18 points and 12 assists, in addition to three rebounds and one steal in 39 minutes. With 416 assists this season, Young now leads the NBA in total assists.
Bogdan Bogdanovic and Clint Capela both tallied 12 points for Atlanta.
Bogdanovic finished with four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 24 minutes off the bench. It marked his 33rd game off the bench with 10-or-more points, the most such games by a reserve this season. With his first block of the game, Bogdanovic recorded his 100th career rejection.
Capela recorded his 21st career game of 10+ points on 1.000 FG%, good for the sixth-most in the NBA since entering the league in the 2014-15 season.
