At Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta Saturday night the Bulldogs in their regular-season finale beat the Yellow Jackets 31-23, and remained undefeated. Improving to 12-0 on the season.

Since 1893, the Bulldogs have beaten the Yellow Jackets 71 times including Georgia defeating Tech 37-14 to cap its second straight perfect 12-0 regular season last year in Athens.

Carson Beck, for the Bulldogs Saturday night, finished 13 of 20 for 175 yards and a touchdown, completing five passes to Dominic Lovett for 68 yards and a touchdown, while Dillon Bell caught three passes for 37 and also had a 29-yard rush.

Bulldogs Senior Daijun Edwards, with one rushing touchdown tonight in the second quarter, leads the rushing attack with 780 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season, and fellow senior Kendall Milton, with two rushing touchdowns tonight has 644 yards and ten scores on the season.

Tonight’s loss was Georgia Tech’s sixth-straight in the series and its 12th-straight at home to Georgia.

Yellow Jackets QB Haynes King scored his eighth touchdown of the season on a 9-yard rush in the first quarter and his ninth rushing touchdown of the season on a 5-yard rush in the fourth quarter. Freshman wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. recorded 96 yards receiving, including a 57-yard reception in the fourth quarter.

Tonight was the last stop on the train for the 2023 season for the Yellow Jackets. But it isn’t the last stop on the train for the Bulldogs, who next week meet Alabama Crimson Tide at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
