Atlanta Hawks, Wednesday night, return to State Farm Arena to host the New York Knicks after a 126-120 win Tuesday night against Detroit.
Wednesday night’s game is the second away/home back-to-back of the season, and the Hawks are 1-0 this season on the second night of a road/home back-to-back.
Tonight’s matchup between the Hawks and the Knicks is the second time these two clubs will meet this season at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The Knicks grabbed the first matchup on October 27, 126-120.
When the Hawks and Knicks met last on October 27, De’Andre Hunter recorded his third career outing with 25-or-more points and five-or-more rebounds, tallying 27 points on 8-13 shooting from the field, including a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line, six rebounds, one assist and one block in 32 minutes of play. Hunter has recorded 20+ points in each of his last four outings against the Knicks, averaging 22.0 points on .550 FG% (33-60 FGM), including a .435% mark from deep (10-23 3FGM) and .750% from the charity stripe (12-16 FTM), in addition to 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 block in 31.6 minutes.
Trae Young on the last time the Hawks and Knicks met, recorded his first point/assist double-double of the season and the 168th of his.career, netting 18 points to go along with 12 assists, three rebounds and three steals in 35 minutes. It was Young’s 25th career outing with three-or-more steals.
