The Atlanta Falcons were in Charlotte, NC to take on their NFC South rival in the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons were coming off a tough Week 14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The first score of the game came with 4:49 remaining in the first half as Desmond Ridder found Cordelle Patterson for a four-yard score. The Panthers would add a field goal with 22 seconds left and the Falcons led 7-3 at halftime.
Piniero would kick another field goal with 13:22 left in the fourth to make it a 7-6 game. He would then connect on a third field goal as time expired to give the Panthers a 9-7 win.
The Falcons will head home to host the Indianapolis Colts on Christmas Eve. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
