The Baltimore Ravens hosted the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD on Thursday night. The two AFC North teams were both coming off losses that snapped four-game win streaks for both.
It was bad news Baltimore early as tight end Mark Andrews was helped off the field on the eighth play of the game with what appeared to be a serious injury. He would later be ruled out for the game.
On the ninth play, however, Gus Edwards scored the game’s first touchdown from just a couple yards out.
After Bengals kicker Evan McPherson kicked a field goal to make it a 7-3 game, he would miss another one to start the second quarter. The Bengals got into the end zone as Joe Burrow found Joe Mixon to give them their first lead of the game with 5:49 left in the half.
Burrow would then go out of the game with a right wrist injury, and he wouldn’t return for the remainder of the first half. Jackson would throw a touchdown to Nelson Aghalor on the next drive, and the Ravens re-took the lead.
They would expand on that lead when Jackson found Rashod Bateman for a touchdown. The Ravens took the 21-10 lead into the locker room. Burrow was ruled out for the game for the Bengals at the start of the second half.
Both teams would exchange field goals back and forth through the third quarter before Edwards scored his second touchdown of the night to ultimately put the game away as the score read 34-13 with 4:49 remaining.
The Bengals scored a touchdown in the end, but it wasn’t enough as the Ravens won 34-20. They will head out west to take on Los Angeles Chargers in Week 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.
