The Baltimore Ravens hosted the Cleveland Browns at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD on Sunday afternoon. The two AFC North teams had already met in Cleveland earlier this season with the Ravens coming out on top 28-3.
Things seemed to be heading the same direction they did in their first meeting, as the Ravens led 17-3 at the end of the first quarter. Deshaun Watson, returning from injury, was intercepted by Kyle Hamilton, who returned the interception for a touchdown for the game’s first score.
The second score, a 39-yard touchdown run from Keaton Mitchell, made the score 14-0 in favor of Baltimore. Dustin Hopkins kicked two second quarter field goals, and the Ravens led 17-9 at halftime.
A 40-yard touchdown from Lamar Jackson to Oddell Beckham Jr made the score 24-9 at the 12:29 mark of the third quarter. A Gus Edwards touchdown made it a 31-17 game with 11:34 left.
The Browns would come back, and a Greg Newsome pick-six made the score 31-30 with 8:16 left. Hopkins missed the extra point, so the Ravens still led by one.
They would get the ball back, however, and Hopkins would kick a 40-yard field goal as time expired to give the Browns a 33-31 victory over the Ravens.
Baltimore will need to regroup fast as they will take on their other AFC North rival in the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night. Kickoff from Baltimore is set for 8:20 p.m. ET.
