The Atlanta Falcons were in Nashville, TN to take on the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Atlanta was coming off a 16-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After Younghoe Koo kicked a field goal to give the Falcons a 3-0 lead, rookie quarterback Will Levis threw a 47-yard touchdown to DeAndre Hopkins to give the Titans a 7-3 lead.
The two would connect once more for the lone score of the second quarter, a 16-yard score, to give the Titans a 14-3 lead at halftime. With 1:37 left in the third quarter, after both teams had exchanged field goals, Levis and Hopkins connected for the third time to increase Tennessee’s lead to 21-9.
Atlanta would go on to score 14 fourth quarter points, but it wasn’t enough as Levis’ fourth touchdown of the game, this one to Nick Westbrook, made it a 28-16 game with seven minutes left. The Falcons would ultimately fall 28-23.
The Falcons will head back to Atlanta where they will host the Minnesota Vikings, who lost quarterback Kirk Cousins for the remainder of the season today to a torn achilles. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
