Atlanta Falcons Knock Off Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16-13

The Atlanta Falcons were in Tampa to take on the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons were coming off a 24-16 loss to the Washington Commanders.

Quarterback Desmond Ridder ran for the first score of the game from two yards out with 6:48 left in the quarter. The Bucs would tie the game with a 40-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield to Mike Evans at the 3:24 mark. The two touchdowns would be the two scores in the first quarter, and the Bucs and Falcons finished tied at seven headed into the second quarter.

Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo would kick a 24-yard field goal with 11:51 left in the half to take a 10-7 lead. Bucs kicker Chase McLaughlin kicked a 24-yard field goal of his own to tie the game at 10, which is how it went into halftime.

The lone score of the third quarter as Koo kicked a 41-yard field goal with 2:04 remaining in the quarter, and the Falcons lead 13-10 headed into the fourth.

After McLaughlin kicked a game-tying field goal with 45 seconds left, Koo kicked the game winner, a 51-yarder, as time expired, and the Falcons came away with the 16-13 victory.

Atlanta is on the road again next week as they take on the Tennessee Titans. Kickoff from Nashville is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
