Navy 30 v. South Florida 44
After going down 14 points in the first quarter the South Florida Bulls scored 21 unanswered points on the way to a victory. Bulls quarterback Byrum Brown had 338 passing yards and threw for three touchdowns. Wide receiver Sean Atkins caught two of Brown’s three touchdowns and had 116 receiving yards.
Georgia Southern 38 v. Coastal Carolina 28
Georgia Southern quarterback Davis Brin threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns in the win, while running back Jalen White had 77 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Khaleb Hood caught 12 passes for 131 receiving yards and a touchdowns as the Eagles improved to 4-1.
Howard 35 v. Robert Morris 10
Howard quarterback Quinton Williams had three total touchdowns in the win. Williams threw one touchdown and had 170 passing yards while also having 21 rushing yards along with two rushing touchdowns. Howard running back Ian Wheeler had 81 rushing yards along with one rushing touchdown that came on a 59 yard run. Wheeler also had a 88 yard kickoff return touchdown giving him two total touchdowns in the win.
Georgia State 7 v. Troy 28
Georgia State Quarterback Darren Grainger threw two interceptions in the loss while also throwing for 193 yards. For Troy, running back Kimani Vidal scored through the air and the ground. Vidal rushed for 76 yards and had a rushing touchdown while also having the catches for 16 yards with a receiving touchdown.
Georgia Tech 27 v. Bowling Green 38
Georgia Tech took an early 14-0 lead to begin the game before Bowling Green scored 38 unanswered points to secure their second win of the season. Running back Terion Stewart had 138 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in the win while quarterback Connor Bazelak threw for 263 yards and one touchdown. Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King threw for 348 yards and 4 touchdowns in the loss.
Fordham 24 v. Georgetown 28
Tyler Knoop threw three touchdowns leading the Hoyas to the win at home. Knoop had 216 yards through the air while Naieem Kearney had 114 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Kearney also had a 70 yard rushing touchdown. CJ Montes for Fordham also threw three touchdowns in the loss.
Maryland 44 v. Indiana 17
Maryland improves to 5-0 behind six total touchdowns from Taulia Tagovailoa. Along with five passing touchdowns Tagovailoa threw for 352 yards and had a rushing touchdown with 15 rushing yards. Wide receiver Tai Felton was Tagovailoa’s main target with seven catches for 134 yards and three touchdowns.
Morehouse 3 v. Benedict College 27
Morehouse with this loss now become 0-5 on the season while Benedict becomes 5-0. For Benedict, quarterback Aeneas Dennis threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
Clark Atlanta 24 v. Lane College 34
Clark Atlanta with the loss is now 0-5 while Lane College picked up their first win of the season. Lane College running back Kylan Duhe had 117 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the win.
UConn 33 v. Utah State 34
Once down 17 points, the Aggies mounted a huge comeback. In the end, Jalen Royals, who caught seven passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns, blocked UConn’s potential game-tying extra point to secure the win. Utah State also scored 27 points in the fourth quarter alone.
New Hampshire 51 v. Towson 54
There was no defense on either side in this one as Towson quarterback Nathan Kent threw five touchdown passes and running back Devin Matthews rushed for 114 yards, including the game-winning two-yard score in overtime. This came after Towson scored the final 10 points in regulation to force overtime.
Holy Cross 28 v. Harvard 38
The annual EBW Classic at Polar Park in Worcester, MA went to the Crimson in upset fashion. Quarterback Charles Deprima threw two touchdowns as Harvard remains undefeated after knocking off the seventh ranked Crusaders. Deprima also rushed for 89 yards in the victory.
Yale 45 v. Morgan State 3
Yale quarterback threw for 363 yards and four touchdowns, two of which wide receiver Mason Tipton, who caught nine passes for 136 yards. Yale racked up 521 total yards in the six-score win compared to Morgan State’s 204.
Central Connecticut State 20 v. Brown 42
Brown quarterback Jake Wilcox averaged almost 10 yards per pass (9.9), throwing for 386 yards and four touchdowns in Brown’s blowout victory. Wide receiver Wes Rockett recorded 148 receiving yards, and two of Graham Walker’s five catches were touchdowns.
Coast Guard 36 v. MIT 14
Coming off a performance a couple weeks ago in which they put up 93 points on Anna Maria, in a closer game, Coast Guard pulled away in the fourth quarter of a 36-14 victory over MIT.
