Atlanta Falcons Fall to Jacksonville Jaguars in London, 23-7

By Stephen Ur

The Atlanta Falcons faced off against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London, England – or if you were watching on Disney+, Andy’s room from Toy Story – on Sunday. Both teams were coming off losses in Week 3.

It was all Jacksonville in the first half as Trevor Lawrence found former Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley for the touchdown in the first quarter, a 30 yard scoring play. Leading 10-0 with five minutes left in the half, Darious Williams intercepted a Desmond Ridder pass and returned it 61 yards for a touchdown. The Jaguars led 17-0 at halftime.

Three and a half minutes into the third quarter, Ridder found Drake London for a 15-yard touchdown to make it a 17-7 game. They were unable to get much of anything else going the rest of the way, however. Jaguars kicker Brandon McMannus kicked two field goals in the fourth from 43 and 38 to give the final score of 23-7.

The Falcons have lost two in a row since their 2-0 start to the season. They will return to the United States to host the Houston Texans next Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
