At Aviva Stadium in Dublin Saturday, Notre Dame defeated Navy 42-3 to kick off the 2023 season.
Saturday was the 96th matchup between Navy and Notre Dame, and it was the third time the two teams met in Dublin, Ireland.
Navy didn’t get into this game until the fourth quarter when Senior Evan Warren made a 31-yard field goal to provide Navy with three points.
Notre Dame had two touchdowns in both the first and second quarter, and then one touchdown in the third and fourth quarter to record 42 points.
Navy will have the longest regular season in the country this fall, playing its first regular-season game today against Notre Dame and its final regular-season game on December 9 vs. Army at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
After a bye week, Navy will host Wagner in the home opener on September 9 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
